Skiloo: Skis on Bikes – BIKEPACKING.com

Looking to mix skiing with riding this winter? We recently stumbled upon Skiloo, a new ski-carrying solution for your bike that provides a solid platform to mount skis alongside your top tube. Find photos and additional details here…

Carrying skis on a bike isn’t anything new, but up until now, there have been few secure solutions to make carrying (and riding) with skis easy. Bastien from Skiloo set out to address this, and after testing prototypes with his friends over the last year, he finally landed on a version that meets all of their needs.

The Skiloo system features an easy-to-remove bike attachment, a platform for easy ski placement, and straps that ensure a secure hold on the skis. It is comprised of two platforms: one that mounts to the top tube near the front of the bike and a second that mounts onto the seatpost. Each bracket has a small platform for the skis to rest on. Rugged ski straps secure them in place, running lengthwise along the sides of the bike. The brackets are 3D printed from durable, recyclable plastic and are designed and manufactured in France.

We’re unsure about Skiloo’s compatibility requirements, but both brackets are adjustable depending on your seatpost and top tube size. Plus, the user can slide the front bracket forward or backward depending on the length of the skis. The enitre kit, including the supplied straps, weighs just 250 grams.
